I am aware that SPJA has the discretion to approve prop weapons, which means any answer I receive here is not absolute, but I wanted to ask a more in-depth question regarding a potential prop weapon. I currently plan to bring a drill as a prop for my costume, and I wanted to know if the base of a real drill without batteries and with a fashioned polysterene bit (making it not sharp or dangerous) would be acceptable. This drill would not be operational or have any potential to be dangerous. If this is not acceptable, would I be able to disassemble the drill and remove all of the interior electronic parts (making it a plastic/metal husk)? I ask this because the frame of a real drill would make the prop much more authentic, but I do not need or want it to be operational in any way.
