Would a school ID with my birthday count as a valid photo ID? If not, would an expired passport work instead? Thank you!

Unfortunately, an school ID doesn’t count as a valid photo ID. Nor would an expired passport.

I apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.

I hope this answers your question. Feel free to contact us with any further questions, comments, or concerns.

I hope you have a great con!

this is highly upsetting. you of all at AX should make it more clear what forms of ID are valid are which are not. to have to dig and look for this information is very upsetting.

When I arrived today to the anime expo, I tried to receive a veteran discount by showing my dd214 (a government form that states you were in the military ), but they did not accept it as a valid identification. When I explain to a female manager that when military soldiers complete their term of service their ID are taken away and are given the form of dd214 to show proof. she said only military card or license that says veteran are allowed yet last year they accepted my dd214. The website does not display what identification would be acceptable, nor states that dd214 would not be acceptable this year which I had to pay for the full price of all four days.
